Project X - Statement

The artist is not determined to repulse the viewer but to urge them to consider more deeply the ethical tightrope of medical/genetic experimentation. These images range from the ethically innocuous to the ethically dubious with the goal not being to merely portray the bizarre nature of experimentation but explore the possibilities of unchecked genetic research. The work expresses an ill wonderment towards the complexity of biological forms while suggesting a dialogue between science and art; that is, how they are presented to the public and how viewers react to something not completely understood.
